In the 70s, Adidas was the best-selling sports shoe brand in the United States. Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier wore both Adidas boxing shoes in their “Fight of the Century” in 1971. Adidas was named official supplier of the 1972 Munich Olympic Games.
